Intervarsity Spoken Mind Competition

The deserving winner of the 1st ever Intervarsity Spoken Mind competition is none other than Given “Illustrative” Masilela, who represented the Tshwane University of Technology’s Street Poets Society extremely well over the three intense rounds.

He won a 4 day Writers Write Course, a Sony Handycam worth R3000, books from Phillippa Yaa de Villiers, Lebogang Mashile, Natalia Molebatsi and Rantoloko Molokoane. He also worked away with a fashionable t-shirt from one of our sponsors, a couple’s meal ticket from Africafe as well as a CD from Nombongo Shenxane, a very talented musician who rendered a performance on the day.

At 2nd place was another gentleman from the Tshwane University of Technology’s Street Poets Society by the name of Phomolo Sekamotho who walked away with books from Myesha Jenkins, Lebogang Mashile and Rantoloko Molokoane as well as a fashionable t-shirt from one of our sponsors and and a 1 day Writers Write  course
